Zimbabwe’s music star — Winky D — will lead an all man line up at this year’s National Braai Day scheduled for 15 October 2022.
The absence of women on the line up clearly shows how much they have to pull themselves to compete with their counterparts on the grand stage.
Of course, there are several issues that organisers look at and it appears this time around it could be an oversight or just deliberate to have an all-male cast.
That said, the National Braai Day will be held at Old Hararians Sports Club just outside of the city centre.
Other acts lined up to perform are Freeman, Enzo Ishall and Nutty O.
The one good thing is that Winky D is part of the Love Shouldn’t Hurt movement, a collaboration of some of the best voices from Zimbabwe.
Featured on the project are some of the best female voices Ammara Brown and Sandra Ndebele.
These two made the song not just feel good but also solid.
Also featured on Love Shouldn’t Hurt are Freeman, Hwabaraty, Holy Ten and Winky D.
Enzo Ishall is a favorite of many so are Freeman, Winky D and Nutty O.
And when it comes to live performances these acts know how to deliver goodies to the masses.
The last time Nutty O hit the stage alongside Winky D it was at the Harare International Conference Centre.
At that show he made a grand performing the hit Open Doors and he literally walked out of the door built on stage for that particular concert.
What a brilliant creative he is and he also made sure he was up for the task and literally joined the BIG Boys that’s Winky D and Jah Prayzah who completed the line up.
And expectations are high that the performing artists will raise the roof as imbibers enjoy braai and booze!
