Zimbabwean top musicians — Jah Prayzah and Winky D are billed to go head-to-head at Africa’s biggest Marathon —- Econet Victoria Falls Marathon scheduled for July 3, 2022.
Dubbed as “the Big 3 Music Show” Jah Prayzah and Winky D will lock horns again following the seemingly unfinished battle of supremacy at the Redefined Concert in the capital Harare.
Both Winky D and Jah Prayzah squared off at the Harare International Conference Centre at the weekend where thousands witnessed the best Zimbabwe has to offer.
However, this time Nutty O won’t be part of the bill as he has been replaced by Ammara Brown, who is equally good at what she does.
She is likely to hand Jah Prayzah an edge over Winky D because she has collaborated with Third Generation star on Kure.
The number is arguably a firm favourite of many music lovers. Apparently, the video was shot on location in Victoria Falls where the marathon takes place.
It is also well and good that Ammara Brown, will be representing the female musicians not because she is one of them but because she ranks high on the music scene.
But of course, like the old Shona adage says: When two elephants fight it is the grass that suffers, one only hopes that Ammara Brown’s presence will add colour and diversity than anything else.
But for now, all eyes will be on Winky D. What trick is he going to pull this time knowing he’s already introduced his upcoming track XYZ at the HICC.
Perhaps, he will bring a surprise guest in Gemma Griffiths or better still rope in the apostolic choral group Vabati VaJehovah?
Well, there are so many options to make the gig different and thrill the crowds.
On the other hand, Jah Prayzah who was the last act at HICC might find himself performing before Winky D.
Already that could be misconstrued as conceding defeat since usually people save the best for last.
And in music whoever plays the last is seen as the top dog.
Whichever way you look at it this is a must attend gig and those who will make It to the majestic Victoria Falls will live to tell the story!
