WHAT’S the price of loyalty?
Well, ask one Gulaam Bhatti, he will tell you that good friendship can be handsomely rewarding!
The sales executive, who works for businessman Tinashe Mutarisi, was bought a house in a leafy suburb of Harare by the wealthy tycoon just to say thank you for being a friend!
The house, in Strathaven, was presented to him during the commissioning of a new Decorative Paint Manufacturing Plant in Graniteside worth US$1.1 million.
Nash Paints is Zimbabwe’s leading paint manufacturing and distribution company with geographical presence in most major urban centres in the country.
The company was established in 2007 in Chikwanha Chitungwiza but it has since branched out to beyond borders.
And Gulaam or simply Boss Gully joined the company as far back as 2012 but since then he changed the fortunes of the company through hard work.
According to Tinashe Mutarisi, Boss Gully was “important cog” for the company and “much more”.
Announcing the present, Nash was at a loss of words to describe their cordial relationship with Boss Gully.
He said it was imperative for him to reward Boss Gully by offering the house in Strathaven worth over US$120 000.
“The house we bought it from Tich (Mharadze) who at the time was running Coloursale Furnishers. And today, I want to honour your and give you the house,” Nash said to wild applause.
Gully said he didn’t expect the good gesture saying he appreciated his boss for making him a house owner.
“You know for the all the hard work and all I can only appreciate my boss for such an honour. I am now a landlord,” he said.
Nash Paints now has subsidiaries in Zambia, and Botswana. The company’s significant customer base remains in the automotive, decorative, wood and industrial paints.
The products are complemented by painting accessories.
