They are the innovators, the dreamers, the ones refusing to wait for tomorrow to make a difference.
They are Zimbabwe’s young changemakers under 35, and on 15 August 2026, their remarkable stories will take centre stage at the Young Achievers Awards ceremony at Hyatt The Meikles Hotel.
But the organisers cannot do it alone. They are reaching out to sponsors, partners, and philanthropists to help celebrate the extraordinary young people who are reshaping Zimbabwe’s future.
A Night to Celebrate Excellence
The black-tie ceremony, running from 6pm to 11pm, promises to be more than an awards night. It will be a gathering of the nation’s brightest minds and biggest hearts, bringing together business leaders, government officials, community organisations, entrepreneurs, professionals, artists, educators, development partners, embassies, NGOs, and individual philanthropists.
Rutendo Nyatsine, founder and CEO of the charity Ekhaya Skills Centres and the driving force behind the awards, says the event is dedicated to honouring young people who are making a positive impact across Zimbabwe.
“We are dedicated to recognising and celebrating exceptional Rising Stars – the young people who are making a positive impact across Zimbabwe,” Nyatsine said.
Who Will Be Recognised?
The awards span nine categories that capture the breadth of young Zimbabweans’ contributions:
Entrepreneurship
Education
Innovation
Leadership
Arts and Culture
Sports
Community Development
Social Impact
From the young entrepreneur creating jobs in their community to the educator going beyond the classroom, the artist using their craft to heal, and the community leader transforming lives – each nominee has a story worth telling.
Why Sponsorship Matters
Nyatsine explained that the initiative relies on sponsorships, partnerships, donations, and in-kind contributions to bring the celebration to life.
“When organisations or individuals sponsor the awards, in return they get an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to youth empowerment while gaining valuable brand exposure to the community,” she said.
For sponsors, it’s a chance to stand alongside the next generation of Zimbabwean leaders, publicly declaring that young people matter and that their contributions deserve recognition.

A Night to Remember
As the sun sets over Harare on 15 August, a new generation of heroes will step into the spotlight. They are the ones who refused to be defined by Zimbabwe’s challenges – instead, they chose to be defined by their solutions.
The Young Achievers Awards is their night. And with the support of sponsors and partners, it will be a celebration that echoes far beyond the walls of the Hyatt – a message to every young Zimbabwean that their efforts are seen, valued, and worthy of celebration.
Join the movement. Sponsor a future leader. Celebrate Zimbabwe’s rising stars.
