Harare -– The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) has announced the appointment of Scarlet Studios, in partnership with Events Evolution, as the official event managers for the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) for the 2026–2030 cycle.
This marks a new chapter for Zimbabwe’s premier arts awards ceremony, which has been a cornerstone in celebrating artistic excellence across the country.
The announcement was made by NACZ’s Communications and Marketing representative, Aggabu Nyabinde, who expressed optimism and confidence in the newly appointed duo’s ability to elevate the NAMA experience over the next five years.
A New Era for the Prestigious Arts Awards
NAMA has, over the years, become the highest recognition for Zimbabwean artists in fields ranging from music and literature to film, dance, theatre, and visual arts. With the new appointment, NACZ aims to build on this legacy by infusing innovation and creativity into every aspect of the ceremony.
“Scarlet Studios and Events Evolution bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to NAMA,” said Nyabinde.
“With their extensive experience in event management, they will work closely with the National Arts Council to ensure the event continues to exceed expectations and deliver an exceptional experience for attendees, nominees, and winners alike.”
Rigorous Selection Process
The decision followed a competitive and transparent selection process. NACZ issued a call for applications, which attracted submissions from highly qualified event management companies. After a thorough review of applications, a shortlist of contenders was invited to present detailed pitches to the NACZ Board.
Scarlet Studios and Events Evolution stood out for their comprehensive approach, technical expertise, and demonstrated capacity to deliver events of the high standard expected of NAMA.
Their combined strengths in production design, logistics, audience engagement, and media integration ultimately secured their appointment.
Five-Year Vision
The partnership will be responsible for managing the prestigious awards from 2026 through 2030. During this tenure, Scarlet Studios and Events Evolution are expected not only to maintain the high standards of the event but to raise the bar further, creating memorable experiences and increasing NAMA’s visibility both locally and internationally.
Nyabinde urged all stakeholders to rally behind the new team: “We encourage all NAMA stakeholders—artists, sponsors, cultural organizations, and the media—to embrace and fully support Scarlet Studios and Events Evolution during their five-year term.”
Looking Ahead
With this new appointment, NAMA is poised to continue growing as a platform that honors and promotes the best of Zimbabwean artistic talent.
The NACZ believes that through this dynamic partnership, NAMA will continue to serve as a beacon of cultural pride and inspiration for generations to come.
