Coach Taf to Lead Youth Life Skills Workshop

Staff Writer

HARARE – Renowned life coach and strategist Tafadzwa “Coach Taf” Mukoyi will headline the Academic Mastery & Life Skills Workshop this January, delivering a timely message on ownership, discipline and personal responsibility as learners prepare for the new school term.

The workshop, hosted by LifeBlueprints, will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 9:00am to 2:00pm at the Archdiocese of Harare Jubilee Centre.

It targets learners aged 8 to 19, offering them practical tools to reset, refocus and re-engage ahead of the school reopening.

Coach Taf, the author of Exit Your Excuses, is widely respected for translating strategy and leadership principles into practical life skills for individuals, families and organisations.

His session will challenge young participants to rethink their attitudes towards effort, fear, failure and discipline.

“Excuses are not signs of weakness — they are habits we learn,” said Coach Taf. “When young people take ownership of their effort early in life, they unlock confidence, resilience and academic success.”

LifeBlueprints founder Liz Dziva said the workshop is designed to help learners start the year with clarity and purpose.

“This workshop is an opportunity for young people to recalibrate, re-energise and reignite their purpose for the new school year. By regularly checking in with their vision and intentions, they are far more likely to achieve their goals,” Dziva said.

The workshop will focus on key areas including:

Building the identity behind academic success

Turning goals into daily habits

Managing pressure, stress and expectations

Developing moral courage and self-respect

Responding to bullying without losing confidence

Coach Taf will be joined by author Quinton Dongo, Sr Diana Kanyere (LCBL), and moderator Lucia Urayai, creating a balanced programme that integrates mindset development, values formation and emotional intelligence.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to view the initiative as an investment not only in academic performance, but also in character development and life readiness.
