Kadoma — Life Technical Training Institute (LTTI) is fast becoming a beacon of hope for youth in Kadoma, offering practical, career-focused education that empowers students with the skills needed to thrive in today’s job market.
Under the visionary leadership of Director Andrew Mugabe, LTTI provides a wide range of technical and vocational programs tailored to meet industry demands.
With a current enrollment of 327 students, the institute is playing a vital role in equipping young people with hands-on skills that open doors to employment and entrepreneurship.
The curriculum spans Motor Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, Carpentry, Hotel and Catering Management, Cosmetology, Para-Professional studies, and other short courses.
These programs are designed to be industry-relevant and directly applicable to real-world challenges.
The impact of LTTI is clearly reflected in the success of its alumni. Many graduates have secured gainful employment or launched their own businesses, thanks to the institute’s emphasis on practical training and professional readiness. “Our commitment to excellence is seen in our state-of-the-art equipment, experienced instructors, and well-mannered students,” said Director Mugabe, who holds a Bachelor of Education in Youth Development.

LTTI operates under the umbrella of the Life Group of Companies, a diversified organization that includes the Life Safe Security Agency, and the soon-to-be-launched Life Technical Junior School, which aims to provide quality early education.
In an interview, Mugabe emphasized the importance of technical education in national development.
“At Life Technical Training Institute, we are dedicated to empowering the youth of Kadoma with skills that will make them self-reliant and competitive in the workforce. Our mission is to deliver training that is relevant, practical, and aligned with industry needs.”
Looking ahead, the institute is preparing to celebrate its 2nd Graduation and Awards Ceremony on May 9, a milestone event that will honor the hard work and achievements of its students. “We are thrilled to recognize the dedication of our students,” Mugabe said.
“They have worked tirelessly to gain technical skills that will transform their lives and help build stronger communities.”
Mugabe, who also serves as the founder and president of the Zimbabwe Independent Colleges Association (ZITCA), concluded by reaffirming the institute’s commitment to shaping the future of Zimbabwe through technical education.
