Yesterday, social media was buzzing with Makhadzi and Vee Mampeezy caught up in a heated online argument.
The dispute between these two artists, known for their collaborations, escalated when Makhadzi publicly denied any romantic involvement with Vee, accusing him of financial instability.
Facing difficulty in getting Vee to comment on the matter, citing his respect for Makhadzi, this publication reached out to Vee’s DJ and right-hand man, DJ Maputo.

In an exclusive interview, DJ Maputo BW revealed that the two did have a romantic history. He recalled an incident during Vee’s divorce proceedings with his ex-wife when Vee and Makhadzi were together in the Free State, in South Africa, sharing intimate moments.
“When two individuals cohabit in a single room at a hotel, with one party openly declaring the other as their partner to their entourage, would you not classify this as dating?” Maputo pondered rhetorically.
Maputo also mentioned Makhadzi instructing her dancers in Johannesburg at her place, to avoid Vee, considering him her man. Additionally, Vee took on traditional masculine roles, providing for Makhadzi’s entourage.
To conclude, Maputo mentioned a trip where Makhadzi flew solo to Botswana, spending days with Vee in Gaborone at the Grand Palm.
Regarding Makhadzi’s claims of Vee pursuing her during their UK visit, Chef Gustos dismissed them, saying it was Makhadzi who pursued Vee. He recalled an incident where Makhadzi insisted on talking only to Vee, causing concern among event organizers.
“I inquired about Makhadzi‘s attitude towards Vee, to which Vee clarified his commitment to his partner, Sphalaphala Sa Marothi, and did not want to mess up with Makhadzi,” Gustos recounted. “It became apparent that Makhadzi also expected Vee to go shopping with her during their time in the UK.”
Makhadzi chose to remain silent when approached for comment, despite inquiries sent via WhatsApp —The Parrot.
