If there’s one thing better than a worship song, it’s a worship collaboration—and, the new track Jeso Anochengeta (Chief of Sinners though I be) by Joyfull Praise featuring the one and only Everton Mlalazi is serving pure fire.
This isn’t just a song. It’s a spiritual party—and it’s arrived just in time for the Ekhaya Worship Festival in Bulawayo on May 25 (aka Africa Day). Coincidence? We think not.
Let’s set the scene: Joyfull Praise—already one of Zimbabwe’s most electrifying gospel choirs—teams up with Mlalazi, whose soulful voice could probably make a stone clap its hands. The result? Harmony that hits your chest like a good testimony.
The video, shot live on stage (bonus points for raw energy), is a visual feast. Mlalazi glides in all white, cool as a blessed breeze, while the choir brings the heat with crystal-clear vocals and enough cultural flair to make you proud.
And just when you think it’s over? Nope. He turns preacher, looking straight down the lens to remind us: heartbroken? Jobless? Burdened? Come to Jesus as you are. Yes, minister.
Lyrically, the song is a full surrender anthem—Jesus as Giver, Protector, and Head Chef of second chances. And the people are eating.
Since its YouTube debut just three days ago, Jeso Anochengeta has already pulled in 1,350 views and a comment section that reads like a praise altar:

Spirit of Praise who? They’ve got Everton too, but Joyfull Praise just raised the stakes.
