LONDON — Every ending, as the saying goes, is the beginning of another journey. For Duchess Moreblessing Bishi, that truth has been the story of her life.
The former Zimbabwean model, actress, and television presenter, who once graced the runways of Harare and appeared on the popular ZBCTV soap Studio 263, is now preparing to share her remarkable transformation with the world.
Her upcoming documentary, Becoming British: The Journey. The Process. The Purpose., chronicles her journey from Zimbabwe to the United Kingdom, a path marked by faith, healing, and an unwavering sense of purpose.
A Life Transformed
Many in her native Zimbabwe remember her as a “racy model,” a confident figure who commanded the camera.
Her entry into the world of fashion began at the tender age of 12, encouraged by classmates who saw a spark she lacked the confidence to recognize.
Titles like Second Princess Miss Glen View Primary Schools and Miss Heroes 2002 followed, alongside a memorable cameo in the beloved soap opera.
But the glitz and glamour, as she now describes it, was not her final destination. In 2015, in her late 20s, her life took a profound turn when she encountered a ministry that would change everything.
Within a few months of giving her life to Christ, she received a prophecy that she was an apostle. Later, a word in 2017 foretold of her relocation to the UK to start a “big ministry.”
“I did not live a glamorous life just because I was a model,” she reflected. “I encountered a lot of sufferings in my life.
“But I believe that God was training me for such a time as this; that I may reveal HIM to the world and manifest his glory”.
Becoming British
Today, the founder of Christ Jesus International Ministries has added another chapter to her story by acquiring a nobility title, becoming Duchess Moreblessing Bishi.
For her, the title represents more than just a name; it is a platform from which to launch her mission.
Her documentary, Becoming British, is described as “a story of hope, healing and purpose.” It is set to explore her journey of faith, culture, and overcoming adversity, traversing the four nations of the UK.
The project comes on the heels of her recent success, having landed two nominations at the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards UK Edition for Community Champion and Diaspora Advocacy, and winning the Faith Impact Award at the Zimbabwe Business Expo.
By bringing her story to cinemas and streaming platforms, Duchess Moreblessing Bishi hopes to inspire others to embrace their own journeys of transformation. The mission, as she often says, continues.
