Craft Properties Holdings (Private) Limited will on Wednesday 23 September officially commission and hand over two fully completed, three-roomed smart homes in Holyland High Density Suburb, Kadoma – one for a person with disability and one for a person with albinism.
The Official Handover Ceremony,marks Phase One of the company’s Holyland Housing Project and a major milestone in inclusive housing.
Speaking ahead of the event, Craft Properties Holdings Director and Founder, Professor Kudakwashe Taruberekera, said the handover is about restoring dignity and fulfilling a promise made to the most vulnerable members of the community.
The two houses are state-of-the-art, three-roomed smart homes built to the highest standards of safety, comfort and accessibility.
“Each unit features ceramic floor tiling, wall tiling in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet, designer ceilings, full electrical tubing, wiring and lighting with smart provisions, and complete plumbing installations.
Professor Taruberekera said the project reflects the company’s core belief in people-first development.
“For us at Craft Properties, this is not just about building houses. It is about building dignity, inclusion and hope. When we donated 15 stands on 27 November 2025, we made a promise that no beneficiary would be left with just a stand. On Wednesday, we begin to fulfil that promise,” said Prof. Taruberekera.
He added that the design prioritised independence and safety:
“These are smart homes designed for comfort, security and independence. We have ensured accessibility, modern finishes and smart provisions because every person, regardless of disability or condition, deserves a decent and dignified home. This is what we mean by Building Inclusive Communities for a Brighter Tomorrow.”
The 23 September handover is the fulfilment of a commitment made on 27 November 2025 at Kadoma Civic Centre, when Craft Properties donated 15 residential stands to 15 beneficiaries comprising 10 persons with disabilities and 5 persons with albinism.
Prof. Taruberekera reaffirmed the company’s commitment to complete the project: “These two homes are Phase One. We remain fully committed to mobilising resources to complete the remaining 13 houses.

This is part of a broader CSR footprint that includes the transformation of Easterlea Primary School in Chikari, donation of 10 wheelchairs to persons with disabilities in Masvingo, and installation of a solar-powered borehole water supply system at Mabanana Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Rimuka, Kadoma, in partnership with Kadoma City Council.
