Gwevedzi are back at Theatre in the Park by public demand this Friday 25 November 2022 starting at 7.30pm.

After Gwevedzi`s performance at the venue last month, the public request was to bring back the band for another show.

The `Ndinouya` hitmakers had staged a spectacular performance which got the audience in ecstasy in the auditorium.

The organisers say they heeded the call as an appreciation and honour to their fans.

Band spokesperson, Gladmore Bvuta said that the band is extremely honoured and is prepared to be igniting fireworks on Friday.

Passmore Ndlovu, Rooftop Promotions programs and communications officer said urged fans to book their tickets in advance to avoid pressure on the day of the event.

Formerly known as Gwevedzi Afro Acoustics Band, Gwevedzi was formed in 2016 in Harare.

The quest of the band is to also harmonize the people of the world through music.

Gwevedzi is a Shona name given to a suitor in a courtship between a young lady and a young man to strengthen the love between the two.

It consists of four members; Tinashe Masangudza guitar, Wilfred Nikisi bass, Nyasha Murada lead vocals/mbira, and Keith Musena on the drums.

They have performed at the same venue for more than 3 times since October 2021.

Meanwhile, the group has done a couple of live shows locally in Mutare, Victoria Falls, Harare and Kwekwe.

Gwevedzi has regional experience, having performed in South Africa and Mozambique.

Theatre in the Park also confirmed another concert where they will be hosting Feli Nandi on 2 December 2022.

On 9 December, the venue will be hosting the return of the `Pamuhacha` hitmakers, Mateo and Friends.

Tickets for all the shows are already on sale at Theatre in the Park.

Admission is $5 and bookings are being done on 0782217462 or 0774232478. Alternatively, one can visit Theatre in the Park offices during their business hours from 9am to 5pm.
