Popular radio presenter Dr Zobha who has been on a long hiatus is back on the scene!
The masked character who used to rock old skool parties and other private functions will guest at Witness Chuman Matema’s 50th birthday celebrations slated for Saturday at Damview in Chitugwiza.
Dr Zobha used to provide great entertainment and news bits on Power FM through his witty humour on several subjects be it politics, social, economic as well as sports.
At some point Dr Zobha took a shot at singing dropping off a single Ndinogona, self-praise oldie which he played as sig-tune.
However, following changes at Power FM which saw Dr Zobha being scrapped from the roster, he hasn’t been making public appearances for years now.
But thanks to Chuman who gave Dr Zobha a new lease of life with his first public appearance slated for this Saturday.
“Oh well, he is coming back with a band and his first appearance will be at my birthday so all those who want to see Dr Zobha come one, come all,” Chuman said.
Classic263 radio personality Chuman turned 50 years old on Thursday making a huge milestone in his career spanning 24 years.
Matema who is now lovingly called Uncle Chu aka Mr Nice and Easy joined radio some 24 years ago at the then Radio 3 now Power FM.
Suffice to say he was one of sought-after presenters who moved from Power FM to Classic263.
Alongside the veterans Kudzi Mr Cool Marudza and DJ Flabba, Chumna has been a part of Huggiez Entertainment, a company that specializes in old skool music.
Also expected at the ‘Hunters Dry Party’ in Chitungwiza are several talented presenters and DJs among them the likes of Tinashe Chikuse, Merciless Zim, Butterphly, Squilla, Valentine Mabugu, Tafara Matura of Classic263, Miss Rach, Dj Chlli and DJ Storm.
