Flamboyant businessman and Zanu PF’s young turk Chamu Chiwanza recently won in the primary election for Mhondoro-Mubaira constituency.
According to villagers, Chiwanza best suit to represent the people because he represents the renewal aspect in Zanu PF.
Soon after his massive victory villagers confirmed that Chiwanza would represent them well in Parliament.
“He moved in swiftly and quickly and was extremrely popular which is what President Mnangagwa needs because he is vibrant and a successful businessman,” one villager said.
A second said: “The onus is now on the party executive to allow for more young people to represent the revolutionary party.”
A third said:”We have seen that CCC has embraced a lot of young blood and Zanu PF needs new blood. I think much will be seen in the upcoming general elections.”
Zanu PF political commissar Mike Bimha could not be reached for comment since the party has withhold the announcement of primary election results.
