From being a vendor in Zimbabwe’s second city, Bulawayo, he recollects selling tomatoes, onions, bananas etc at Mzilikazi G Square, near Amadamara Shops and the mortuary.

Pathisani Sibanda worked for a record label and painfully lost that job and was jobless for about 3 years, he is now brand ambassador for a number of brands including Proton Bakers, 4 May, Chicken Slice etc.
Phati or chimfana changu aka Shumba Pazvese has a story to tell. In his imperfections he has managed to ride his wave and turn around his story. I tried to summarise it. In 2012 as we were setting up Star FM, each time he narrated his story as they say nowadays “it always ended in tears”
In 2012, he tried his luck at the Belgravia auditions, made it to the next stage, sailed through the FEBA stage and went on air.
“I went to the auditions because I had nothing, I also had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I had struggled staying with my father in one room in Kambuzuma. I call him the magician, the only man who could add nothing and nothing and come up with something, may his soul rest in peace”
It was him, Owen Ollah Madondo and Ndumiso Dube as Madhonza. They tore up morning radio and this was one of the major and many reasons Star FM blew up.
In 2014 he reluctantly moved to a new slot named the 326 Xpress.
He became that guy people loved to hate and hated to love. They loved him all the same. A year later he teamed up with Violet Gwara on the same slot.
The 326 Xpress was his season. He realised it a few months in after its inception in 2014 and went on to perfect it 2015 with KVG.
He remains one the most sought after emcees, brand ambassadors, radio personalities etc. Yes Pathisani Sibanda is riding his wave. It’s his season. He noticed his season and grabbed it with both hands. Salute. Seasons!
