HARARE – President Emmerson Mnangagwa has extended his deepest condolences to the Vatican on the passing of Pope Francis.
In a heartfelt message, the President expressed the profound sadness of the Government and people of Zimbabwe on the loss of the revered spiritual leader.
President Mnangagwa described Pope Francis as a devoted servant of the Apostolic See, who dedicated his life to the service of God and humanity. He praised the Pope’s moral leadership and theological insight, which uplifted the spiritual consciousness of the world.
The President’s message of sympathy was addressed to Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Acting Head of the Vatican, and expressed the Government’s prayers for the eternal rest of the Pope’s soul.
He also wished the entire Catholic family strength and comfort to overcome the loss.
