R&B sensation Trevor Dongo has made an emotional U-turn, apologizing to his fans, family, and longtime producer MacDonald “MacDee” Chidavaenzi after a public outburst in the wake of a devastating fire that gutted his apartment in the Avenues last weekend.
In a heartfelt post on his official Facebook page, the MaDube Wangu hitmaker admitted that he had been at his lowest, even contemplating ending his life.
“I also apologize to the public, my music fans, and family for the anxiety I caused. I almost gave up on life, but I assure you all that I am recovering and may need counseling to get the psycho-social support I desperately need after everything I’ve been through,” wrote Trevor D.
Mending Broken Friendships
Trevor D also addressed his fallout with MacDee, acknowledging that he lashed out unfairly during his emotional turmoil.
“I wish to make a public, unreserved, and genuine apology to my longtime friend, brother, and producer MacDee and his family for the hurtful post I made. At the time, I was not in the right frame of mind and needed him the most. Today, we spoke for the first time in months and realized our misunderstanding was petty. It can never erase the strong bond of friendship and brotherhood we share,” he said.
He further retracted all negative statements he made about MacDee, urging the public to stop criticizing the producer.
“MacDee has been unjustifiably attacked because of my post. I implore everyone not to demonize him—he is innocent, and I was wrong.”
Trevor D Promises a Comeback
Ending his post on a hopeful note, Trevor D expressed gratitude to those who have supported him through his difficult time.
“I value your love, care, and support. God willing, I will bounce back, get back on my feet, and continue making music. Please keep me in your prayers,” he wrote.
With counseling on the horizon and his friendships mended, fans can only hope that Trevor D’s next chapter will bring a stronger, revitalized version of the R&B star they love.
