Sugarcane star ready to rock Harare: Promoter

Promoters of the Heatwave Sugarcane Concert say Camidoh is geared up to rock Harare this Saturday at Long Cheng Plaza Mall.

The Ghanaian star who is already in Zimbabwe performed his first concert in the resort town of Kariba last weekend.

And this weekend, Camidoh who has had a busy schedule visiting top urban radio stations now awaits the big day.

“The Kariba show was great and it went well. Camidoh was at his best although some of the songs were quiet new but then people need to go on YouTube and hear the songs for themselves,” Negos Negombwe of Negos Events Management said.

“Obviously after the Kariba concert he now knows what Zimbabweans want and what is expected of him. But I must say he is geared up for the upcoming concert.”

Also on the bill are Freeman HKD, rapper Holy Ten, Voltz JT, Saintfloew, Leo Magozz, Kikky Badass and Ken Wamambo.

There will be appearances by Andile Brown, Nu Vybe, Dj Sadiq and Enjoyment 5.0 on the line up.

While these will be supporting act, all eyes will be on Camidoh who has had sold out concerts outside of Zimbabwe.

Camidoh was born in  Aflao in Volta Region of Ghana and raised by a single mother in Ho, the capital.

From 2008 to 2012, Camidoh obtained his secondary education from Bishop Herman College, where he majored in General Arts.

He furthered his education at the University of Professional in Accra, Ghana, graduating with Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

In 2018, Camidoh was signed by Grind Don’t Stop Records.

In that same year, Camidoh released his first single titled For My Lover which featured Darkovibes.

Camidoh rose to prominence in between 2021 and 2022 with the release of his single Sugarcane in December.

The song began to trend more after the Ghanaian TikTok video creators community used the song in their videos, serving as a way of promoting the song online.
