Karoi is predominantly a farmers’ town that also serves as a stopover for clients traveling to Kariba, Zambia and Mana Pools.
But there has not been a luxurious place to cool off or freshen up for travellers along this busy Harare-Chirundu Highway.
The only place where travellers get to cool off is Kariba which is quite a distant and Zambian border also way too long so the next big place to check in is at Spring Resort and Wellness Centre, what a conveniency!
The Spring Resort and Wellness Centre opening this weekend has finally made town’s dream of world class services and products in the Mashonaland West town a reality especially in post-Covid era after the hospitality industry had taken a slumber.
The lodge boasts 10 rooms and a thatched restaurant offering fine dining experience at reasonable prices.
And though the lodge has been in operation for years, the addition of the water front chalets, fitness and wellness centre and wedding venue has pushed the facility to a world star service provider.
The facility boasts a gym with work out machines and the services of the Honorable Temba Mliswa as the coach for corporate to conduct team building exercises.
An obstacle course that extends into the fields that surround the property will also be seen. Honorable Mliswa said the facility was working towards embracing the theme of TOURISM AND GREEN INVESTMENTS.
Invited guests will get a chance to tour the horticulture projects where Honorable Mliswa has insisted on practicing farming to lesson carbon footprint that comes with procuring farm produce from distances.
The lodge and restaurant is mainly run on Solar energy and efforts to increase the capacity will be completed by year end.
Spring Resort and Wellness Centre, is run by Abigail Stephens as the General Manager and Stephen Rodgers as the Managing Director.
The official launch will be attended by captains of industries, invited guests and government officials.
The launch is to open the facility to intended guests and ushering Karoi into modern tourism.
