I want to share with you a profound piece of advice that has had a lasting impact on my musical journey.

During an encounter with Oliver Mtukudzi, I had the privilege of engaging in a heartfelt conversation about music and artistry. Little did I know that his words of wisdom would forever shape my perspective as a musician.

He emphasized the importance of staying true to our music and ourselves. He passionately spoke about how the best pieces of art are not those that simply flow with the tide, but rather the ones that choose to be different and unique. It was a revelation that struck a chord deep within me.

In that moment, I realized that in order to create a meaningful connection with my music and audience, I must let my music flow naturally from within. I must embrace my individuality and allow my creativity to soar, unbiased by societal expectations.

Today, as I reflect on my artistic evolution, I am filled with gratitude for the guidance imparted by this musical icon.

His wisdom has not only shaped my music but has also become an integral part of my identity as an artist. By choosing authenticity over conformity, I have discovered a creative freedom that knows no bounds.
