Organisers of Chipaz Charity Bhora scheduled for 1 April at DZ Stadium said they invited all the artists but some could not make it due to other commitments.
The annual Chipaz Charity match seeks to fundraise for musicians and most importantly promote unity and good workmanship among artists.
Responding to questions why the three big names Alick Macheso, Winky D and Jah Prayzah are not part of the Chipaz Charity Bhora, Partson Chimbodza said the artists had other engagements.
“Both Winky D and Jah Prayzah will be out of town on the day. But there is a rich line up of artists for the match,” Chimbodza said.
Dubbed Zim dancehall Stars versus Sungura Select, the match will kick off in the afternoon with curtain raisers being Christ Embassy versus Zimpapers and Vigilance versus Pan Jap and then UZ Legends versus Drunkards.
Expected on the Zim dancehall Stars are Killer T, Seh Calaz, King Shady, Chillspot Family comprising DJ Fantan, Ribhe and Levels, Silent Killer, Dadza D, Merciless, Kinnah, Bounty Lisa and Shinsoman among others.
And Sungura Select will see the like of First Farai, Progress Chipfumo, Josh Hozheri, Peter Moyo, Mark Ngwazi, Victor Kunonga, Mechanic Manyeruke, Mathias Mhere, Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria, Suluman Chimbetu, Carlos Green, Pitshou Lumiere, Romeo Gasa, Kapfupi, Baba Harare, Nesto among a host of others.
Chipaz will also play alongside the Sungura Select so ensure the side is as good as it gets.
But outside of music, there is going to be big party as Freeman and the HKD Band will rock the house.
There is a host of other Zim dancehall artists who will grace the stage for the after-party dubbed Freeman Homecoming gig.
So it will basically be the best of both worlds for football fans and music lovers at one place.
Admission is US$5 all round.
