Zimbabwean social media has been plunged into mourning from the death of Gary Mapanzure this week.
The talented singer died aged 25 died on Friday the 13th of October at a local hospital after sustaining serious injuries from a road accident along Beitbridge-Masvingo highway yesterday.
Born Garikai Munashe Mapanzure affectionately known as ‘’Garry’ died at the peak of his career where he mastered the art of love and relationships.
According to some eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when the vehicle collided with another in the Clipsham Views residential area.
The “Nditaurireiwo’’ hitmaker was a passenger in the car.
Sadly, his sister and nephew died on the spot while Garry sustained critical injuries and later died.
Fans took to social media to pour out their shock and grief. Many posted Garry’s pictures on their WhatsApp statuses while others captioned his pictures with broken heart emojis.
The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, the arts regulatory body is yet to issue a statement but Garry who is celebrated by many has left a huge gap in urban music.
