A deadly head-on collision between a haulage truck and a Nissan AD Van NV150 at the Magunje turnoff has left at least six people dead, according to eyewitness accounts.
Chaos at the Scene
The horrific crash occurred on the busy Harare-Chirundu highway, with witnesses describing mangled vehicles and trapped passengers.
“I heard a loud bang and ran to help,” said a shaken vendor near the Chidzuhwi turnoff. “Bodies were lying on the road—it was terrible.”
Ongoing Investigation
Police and VID teams are working at the crash site, with victims’ bodies taken to Karoi Hospital mortuary. No official statement has been released on the cause or possible survivors.
Safety Warning
Authorities are urging extreme caution on the highway, particularly in low-visibility zones.
