Musician Poptain has dropped his latest video — Before — which is a surefire hit!
On Before, Poptain is not taking any prisoners but continues pushing boundaries to a sound that is catchy and easy to follow.
Great vocals, great impression and an imaginative chorus that takes the listener way back when music was still music.
The track is classy and the beat nice and mellow so much so you can rock to it without losing a single step.
He sings: “Simukawo tiende mudiwa mudiwa/akuruma nzveve ndewako”
And what follows next is a sing along tune which is uniquely Afro, just like his look in the video, he has gone retro sporting an Afro, dark shades and a three piece suit.
Directed by Sorogin-Sorojena, Poptain has been on an upward trend since signing to Creative Kulture and he is treading carefully on that winning formula dropping hit after hit.
And on the video it is truly an amazing delivery with poptain and a vixen by the name Zakheera as well as the trio of dancers.
There is so much plenty to watch in the video with beautiful scenes and background which gave that professional touch.
It is like you are watching a movie so to speak and that is how the video sets out to show. There is no denying that Poptain is hunger for success and you can tell by the way he dances.
He doesn’t too hard but often it comes naturally that dance where he only wriggles his waist sideways while frowning his face.
It is absolute magic. I could play the video over and over just to hear those beautiful melodies and engage with Poptain through a beautiful love song.
There is no doubt why this video is trending at number 4 on YouTube because it is well crafted like a home brew. Everything has been put with high energy and love.
