Trailblazing musician Jah Prayzah has dropped a new video for Nyeredzi and oddly enough he mimics his rival Winky D.
It is rare of Jah Prayzah to do this, but the lanky star is sporting long dreadlocks and a beard in true Winky D fashion.
Whether or not this was meant to provoke or appreciate Winky D it remains to be seen as the Gaffa President is yet to respond to the video.
The top two musicians in Zimbabwe at present have shared the stage several times and never played their ‘beef’ in public although insiders believe they get along well and the ‘beef’ is meant to hype up their bills. It is good for doing business.
That said, the video we are told comes in four part series and was sponsored by Nyaradzo Group of which Jah Prayzah is their brand ambassador.
Interestingly, it is a love story set in the rural village starring the versatile stage and film actress Eunice Tava. Apparently Eunice plays the lead role in the film Nehanda.
She plays the vixen in the video as a responsible bride fetching water and firewood alongside her love interest who is also an actor of note.
This time, Jah Prayzah who is in fact looks like Winky D assumes the role of a Big Brother high up in the mountains watching over the villagers going about their business.
Now it turns out that the villagers gather around for a traditional wedding but then there is one woman who seems to be unhappy with just about everything. It is not clear why she is hating maybe its for the next series.
The video was shot by Vusa Blaqs Hlatswayo who has worked with Jah Prayzah since his formative years and again he did not disappoint.
Nyeredzi is off Jah Prayzah’s latest album Gwara.
