Poptain, Guspy Warrior & Andy Muridzo jump on Bodyslam Part 2

As sure as the sunrise tomorrow Bodyslam Part 2 is coming and promises to exceed
the first riddim.
The latest big names to have jumped on the PTK produced riddim are Poptain, Guspy
Warrior and Andy Muridzo.
The three have already laced their vocals and the music is likely to bring back the
good old days of Zim dancehall when it was competitive and creative.
So far samples of Guspy aka Mafia 19, Poptain and Andy Muridzo are doing the
rounds on social media with users already guessing who will lay the best vocals
on Bodyslam Part 2 which is now under PTK Music stable.
PTK returned back home early this year and immediately set up his studio with Bodyslam Part 2 being his first project.
In a video also posted on social media, PTK seems to have fired the warning that
he was back to take his crown.
He literally said his coming back signalled the demise of other studio’s since he
was the doyen of Zim dancehall.
PTK also paid tribute to Soul Jah Love who died on 16 February 2021 after
succumbing to diabetes.
For those who can remember, Soul Jah Love was one of the pioneering Zim dancehall
artists and his imprint was felt on Bodyslam riddim where he dropped two hits
— Mwari Ndovatenda and Kumusoro.
PTK dropped the popular Bodyslam Riddim some eight years ago.
At the time it reached anthemic status with hundreds of musicians being featured on
it.
The Bodyslam riddim was named after the record stable to which PTK used to work for
together with Simba Chakare, a record label owner.
The riddim which is still the most revered on the Zim dancehall scene featured as many talented voices as they are varied.
From the likes of Terminator, Ras Pompy, Killer T, Soul Jah Love, Shinsoman, Maggikal,
Seh Calaz, Tocky Vibes, Yoz, Platinum Prince, Quonfused, Tally B, Maffcat,
Tipsy, Empress Shelly, Ras Caleb and Young Spin among others.
