The one good thing about Castle Tankard is that it brings people together on and off the stage!
This is what happened when Alick Macheso and Freeman jointly performed their hits — Charakupa and Ngaibake much to the delight of the huge crowd on Saturday at the Borrowdale Racecourse for the Castle Tankard.
This is the greatest show for most musicians including Macheso where they get to perform before a sellout crowd.
And any musician worth his salt would not want to be left out for the feast where the crowd is not only diverse but also huge.
And this year was no exception as Macheso and his Orchestra Mberikwazvo turned on their style to thrill the audiences.
It was great to see MaJuice, the problem child back on the line up among other bandmates.
And of course, MaJuice did not disappoint for a minute as he showed up early and raring to go.
Another surprise guest was Hwinza who initially was not expected at the gig but was among the ChillSpot Family fronted by DJ Fantan, Levels and Ribhe.
Hwinza did not waste time performing some of his greatest hits that wowed Zim dancehall music lovers.
He was at his best and he spiced up what was already a star-studded line up that saw Master H dishing out his very best in song and dance.
Master H has had a good run since the beginning of the year with his chart toppers Nawanadem and the follow up Kelly Kelvedhura featuring the talented Tamy Moyo.
It was a pity that Tamy could not make it at the gig where she could have wowed the crowds.
Pundits were also delighted that there was a good race during the day.
This year’s Castle Tankard ran under the theme: Ride the Legacy.
