Kariba — The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) Chinhoyi recently held an all-stakeholder engagement workshop aimed at fostering collaboration and compliance among employers and employees across various islands and select mainland locations.
This event, hosted at the picturesque Waterfront Resort, was designed to enhance the uptake of NSSA’s self-service portal, offering a platform for open dialogue between the authority and its stakeholders.
The workshop emphasized the importance of teamwork and mutual understanding, encouraging participants to express their needs and expectations from NSSA.
“We envision an NSSA that is not only compliant but also sensitive to the wishes and needs of our stakeholders,” said NSSA Public Relations Officer Moyo Melusi.
As part of ongoing efforts, NSSA plans to conduct similar engagements throughout the province, with upcoming workshops scheduled for Karoi and Chirundu.
These sessions will focus on encouraging all employees to register for personal accounts on the NSSA self-service portal, a move aimed at simplifying processes and improving accessibility.
Employers were also reminded of their responsibilities, including timely registration, payment of NSSA contributions, and prompt uploading of remittances to avoid unnecessary penalties.
The authority stressed the significance of open communication, advising organizations to establish personalized relationships with their local NSSA officers for smoother interactions.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the conducive environment provided by Waterfront Resort, which facilitated productive discussions and networking opportunities.
Both NSSA officials and stakeholders praised the venue for its role in fostering a collaborative spirit.
As NSSA continues its outreach, the emphasis remains on building a responsive and engaged community that works together towards common goals.
