The momentum of the Boston Celtics, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ push to come through an injury crisis and an LA Lakers side looking to find their groove will headline the week’s National Basketball Association (NBA) action on ESPN.

The first live action from the NBA this week lands on the morning of Friday 29 March, as the Boston Celtics tackle the Atlanta Hawks.
Celtics star Jayson Tatum says his team’s ability to bounce back quickly from defeats is a sign that they could go very far this season: “We’re not perfect. We try to be, we really do try,” Tatum said.
“But we make mistakes. This is a tough league, the other teams are really good and have great players. It’s all about how you respond.”
The morning of Saturday 30 March features the first of two games involving the Cleveland Cavaliers, as they take on the Philadelphia 76ers, before travelling to face the Denver Nuggets on the evening of Sunday 31 March.
Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff has lamented an ongoing injury crisis which has affected their ability to consistently pick up victories: “Our guys competed and I’m proud of them, but at some point in time, you just run out of gas.”
The midweek features a clash between the Toronto Raptors and LA Lakers on the morning of Wednesday 3 April, as well as the Orlando Magic visiting the New Orleans Pelicans on the morning of Thursday 4 April.
Lakers star Anthony Davis believes his team is at their best when they are a combination of relaxed and aggressive: “When we’re out there having fun, everybody’s confidence is high,” Davis said.
“When we’re talking trash to the other team, we’re holding each other accountable, and we’re just playing the right way. We know what it takes. It’s just about having the consistency of playing that way each and every night.”
