The genre is in safe hands with the likes of Sasha Amadhuve, one of the top gwenyambiras in the country.
With a diverse repertoire from old folklore to her own composition engage fans from start to finish, Sasha Amadhuve, is a marvel to watch on stage.
Those who have been following her would attest that she has that spark and stamina to rock any stage.
And at ZimCafe, the diminutive Sasha has been drawing huge crowds for her Saturday dose of mbira music.
With Sasha it is not just the music but people really connect with their roots as everything from the performance to the ambience speak about Zimbabwe’s traditional culture.
In between time, Sasha Amadhuve invites fans to join her in singing and dancing something which has made her an entertainer par excellence.
F&B Guru who is the proprietor of ZimCafe International said there is value in the Saturday concert featuring Sasha.
“We thrive on providing quality and original entertainment and that is what fans can expect this coming Saturday.
“And there is nothing that beats quality food and feel good music. Sasha will be on stage and the restaurant will be open to patrons.
“So it essentially it is a combination of good food and quality entertainment,” F&B Guru said.
For years since her exit from Progress Chipfumo’s Sound of Motherland, musician Sasha “Amadhuve” Lishomwa has had a remarkable solo career, thanks to her fabulous stage performances and great music videos.
A protégé and niece of the late mbira musician Edna Chizema, aka Mbuya Madhuve, Sasha Amadhuve has six singles, including Machinda, Mbuya Nehanda, Nhai Mambo and Madhunamutuna.
The performance starts at 6pm and ends until regulated time In line with Covid-19 protocols.
