Gospel sensation — Janet Manyowa — has put together a stellar line up for the upcoming Wanqoba 2024 concert including South African artistes!
The lineup reads like an all-star movie cast from Everton Mlalazi, Joyful Praise, Lebo Sekgobela, Khaya Mthethwa, Snowy and Lorraine Maplanka.

Obviously, it does not get better than this as these are some of the most followed and listened to gospel artistes in Zimbabwe.
In a post on her X account, Janet wrote: “The look you give someone who has Batshele! . . . ukuthi ZITF (Hall 3) is the place to be on the 8th of June! bought a #Wanqoba2024 ticket yet . . .”
The singer is building up to the must-attend show and indications are that this year’s edition is likely to surpass last year’s record where the venue was packed to the rafters.
Perhaps a brief background to some of the performing artists in the like of Khaya.
Khaya Mthethwa is a South African singer-songwriter, musician, composer, arranger, and a multi-instrumentalist.
He is best known for winning the 8th season of TV singing competition Idols South Africa, the first black person to have done so.
And Everton is a multi-award-winning gospel star whose music career got off to a flying start having been singing in church at Seventh Adventist Church.
Mlalazi as a perfectionist whether its his sound or stage work. He is known for worship music which gives hopes and uplifts listeners in more ways than one.
Then there is Joyful Praise, a choir which also backs Janet on some of her tracks, is a solid group known for its unique and joyful songs. Made up of youngsters, Joyful Praise is that group that crosses boundaries and its versatility is amazing.
