Two of Zimbabwe’s prominent artists — Jah Prayzah and DJ Fantan of ChillSpot Records — have thrown their weight behind Seh Calaz’s album launch scheduled for Mbare Netball Complex this Saturday.
In separate promo videos ahead of the gig, Jah Prayzah who appeared beside Calaz gave his thumbs up to the album hinting that it was promising.
The Third Generation leader who wore his military fatigue urged people not to miss the show and to come early.
In another video, DJ Fantan and producer Levels said the album launch was a must attend for Zim dancehall music lovers.
DJ Fantan said as ChillSpot Records they had endorsed the gig put together by Chipaz Promotions.
According to DJ Fantan, Seh Calaz album launch was the show of the week this weekend.
Seh Calaz is launching his latest album simply titled Bvopfiro Pariro accompanied by a host of other artists.
Some of the performing artists at the gig include Silent Killer, Bazooker, Boss Pumacol, Enzo Ishall, Tipsy Mabhanditi, Cee Brendon, Ital Fire, Kinna, Jah Child, Putin President, Body Slam Family, Blot, Jah Master, uncle Epaton, D-Flexx, Jexous Corner, Chifinhu, Celcius, Hwinza, Ser Ricardo, JadjahNdunge Yut and Mostaff.
Outside of performing artists, there is going to be op emcees and selectas among them Legendary Sound, DJ Cables, MC Banzo, Merciless Zim, Godfather Templeman and Etherton Beenie.
Seh Calaz is regarded as one of pioneering artists of Zim dancehall music and a contender of Sting bashment.
Many would recall the days of Cup Clashes at City Sports Centre where he would battle Soul Jah Love pound for pound.
But Seh Calaz has been evolving over the years consistently churning out hit albums. And it remains to be seen how Bvopfiro Pariro will fare on the market considering there are other upcoming artists hungry for success.
