Government has given the go ahead for people not to wear masks as a measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19 for the vaccinated.
Masks are still required indoors, as well as at events such as concerts and in public transport according to cabinet on Tuesday.
“Those who have been fully vaccinated are no longer mandated to wear masks in outdoor public. They have to carry their vaccination cards as evidence. In door public areas like indoor concerts etc, masks are mandatory,” Information secretary Nick Mangwana said.
According to WHO protocols wearing of masks and physical distancing were some of the preventative measure to curb the transmission of Covid-19 which for the past two years saw the world in lockdown.
