Sungura legend Alick Macheso, popularly known as Extrabasso, is set to thrill fans this Saturday at Kariba Offroad Gardens.
The Madhawu singer will share the stage with renowned artists Freeman, Enzo Ishall and the Chillspot Family.
Macheso’s manager, Tichaona “Tich” Makahamadze, confirmed the highly anticipated show to Gemnation, promising an exceptional performance.
“We’re excited to perform in Kariba for the third time this yeara, and we urge our fans to come out in large numbers – it will be a show to remember.”
Orchestra Mberikwazvo, Macheso’s band, has crafted new dance routines to debut on Saturday night, ensuring a fresh and exciting experience for attendees.
Theresa Molai, Director of Offroad Gardens, highlighted the concert’s significance. “As we celebrate our third year, we’re featuring top artists to make the event lively. Our goal is regional and international expansion, which is why we’re showcasing talent from beyond our borders.”
The event coincides with the local fishing community’s “full moon break,” a seven-day hiatus when fishermen are off work. This strategic timing is expected to attract large crowds, including visitors from neighboring Zambia, boosting local tourism in Kariba.
With Macheso, Freeman, and Enzo Ishall headlining, music fans in the scenic resort town are in for an unforgettable night.
