Prominent businessman and philanthropist, Dr Cosmas Daka, popularly known as Cossy Rules, has urged students, parents and educators to focus on simple things in order to reach greater heights.
He was speaking during the Speech and Prize Giving Ceremony held at Morning Angles Group of Schools in Kadoma on Friday, where he was the Guest of Honour.
Daka emphasised the importance of hard work, dedication and humility in achieving success and encouraged the students to take advantage of the opportunities available to them.
Addressing the gathering, former Councillor for Ward 11 in Waverly said, “Simple things like discipline, respect and kindness can take you a long way in life,” he said .
Cossy shared his own life experiences, highlighting the challenges he faced and how he overcame them to achieve success.
“I want to encourage you to stay focused, work hard, and never give up on your dreams but above all start with simple things and everything will be history, ” he said.
The businessman also praised the school for its commitment to providing quality education to its students, saying that it was a testimony to the power of education in transforming lives. He urged the students to make the most of their time in school and to always remember that education is a right.
Turning to the parents, Daka said, “As parents, you play a critical role in shaping the minds of these young individuals.
You must provide a nurturing environment that encourages them to learn and grow,’. He urged parents to support their children’s education and to instill in them the values of hard work and discipline that tge school was already impacting.
The Guest of Honour also emphasised the importance of parental involvement in education, saying that it was crucial for the success of the students.
“When parents are involved, students are more likely to excel academically and personally,” he said. He encouraged parents to work closely with teachers and educators to ensure that their children received the best possible education.
In a gesture of goodwill, Dr Daka handed over a printer to the school , much to the applause of the parents, learners, and guests.
This donation was seen as a significant contribution to the school’s efforts to enhance its learning resources
“Education is the key to unlocking the potential of our young people, and I am honoured to contribute to this noble cause. I hope this printer will go a long way in enhancing the learning experience of the students at Morning Angles Group of Schools,” said Daka Cosmas Daka
Finance Director (FD) of Morning Angles Group of Schools, Pension Makutu, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the school’s achievements since it opened its doors to the public.
He announced that the Group was opening new campuses in the City centre and Gokwe in January 2026, with plans to establish Patchway and South African campuses underway.
“We are committed to providing quality education to our students and expanding our reach to more communities,” he said.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Morning Angles Principal Cleophas Ndoro proudly said the school had achieved a lot, and with 230 learners enrolled, they were expecting more learners to join them by next year.
“We have excelled academically and co-curricular activities such as basketball, netball, and soccer, and we are committed to providing a well-rounded education to our students,” he said.
“On behalf of the school, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Cosmas Daka for his generous donation of a printer.
“This contribution will go a long way in enhancing our learning resources and supporting the academic pursuits of our students. We are truly grateful for his commitment to education and his support for our school,” said the Principal
The event was well attended by notable figures, including the Sanyati District Schools Inspector, represented by Cleophas Mtenhaunga, School Heads, and other Government Officials.
