Gwanzura Stadium exploded with music, magic, and memories as thousands gathered to celebrate 25 years of Chibuku Road to Fame — Zimbabwe’s biggest and longest-running music talent search.
The 2025 edition was nothing short of spectacular, with fireworks lighting up the night sky, a star-studded lineup, and fans dancing into the evening.
The grand finale proved why Chibuku Road to Fame remains a cultural staple, with this year’s event billed as the biggest and boldest yet.
And the winner is . . . Chitima Band!
Chitima Band emerged victorious, claiming the top prize of USD 15,000 and a coveted recording contract. Their electrifying performance wowed both judges and fans alike.
Simuniziva, an Afro-fusion band from Matabeleland North, secured second place and USD 10,000, while All in One from Mashonaland West took home USD 7,000 after placing third.

But it wasn’t just about the competition. The crowd was treated to epic live sets from Zim dancehall and Afro-pop royalty, including Winky D, Killer T, Saintfloew, Nisha Ts, and the ever-soulful Feli Nandi. A surprise performance by Ninety6 with his viral hit Gumba Kumba sent fans into a frenzy.
From humble beginnings to a nationwide sensation, Chibuku Road to Fame has consistently uncovered Zimbabwe’s future stars.
Since the talent hunt kicked off on August 23, provincial finals delivered high-energy performances — from raw vocals to electric dance moves.
Organised by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) and powered by Delta Beverages’ Chibuku, the event did more than just entertain — it celebrated 25 years of nurturing Zimbabwean talent.
The 2025 milestone proved that Chibuku Road to Fame is more than a music competition — it’s a movement, a platform, and a party rolled into one.
And if this weekend was anything to go by, the future of local music is in good hands.
