Chaos Eclipses Jah Prayzah’s Packed Album Launch

Harare – What was supposed to be a night of celebration and music turned into a chaotic spectacle as Jah Prayzah’s “Ndini Mukudzeyi” album launch at Old Hararians Sports Club on Saturday descended into confusion at the gates.

Fans eager to witness the chart-topping singer’s latest project found themselves stuck in long queues, pushing through tight spaces, and even wading through mud just to enter the venue.

Some gave up in frustration, while others persevered—at the expense of their clean shoes and personal space.

Even VIP ticket holders, who paid premium prices for a more comfortable experience, weren’t spared.

Their designated area lacked proper barricades, leaving them packed like sardines—a stark contrast to the well-managed VVIP section, which offered space, comfort, and the exclusivity they had all hoped for.

The situation prompted Jah Prayzah, real name Mukudzeyi Mukombe, to issue a heartfelt apology via Facebook the following day.

“There were moments yesterday when things didn’t go according to plan, particularly around accessing the venue . . . I want to say: I hear you. I see you. And I thank you . . . even when things didn’t flow as smoothly as we’d all hoped,” he wrote.

Showing humility and accountability, Jah Prayzah acknowledged the organizational hiccups, pledging to learn from the experience and improve in future shows.

“This is not about pointing fingers. It’s about growing, learning, and honouring the people who made it all possible—you,” he added.

Still, despite the hiccups, the event marked another major milestone in Jah Prayzah’s already glowing career.

The turnout was overwhelming, a testament to his magnetic pull and devoted fan base. The launch had been heavily hyped, with social media influencers amplifying buzz—especially through the viral Ibvo Dance Challenge.

And for those who made it inside, the payoff was real. Jah Prayzah delivered a powerful performance that had the crowd dancing, singing, and soaking in the vibes of his latest musical offering.

“Yesterday was nothing short of a blessing,” he later said. “An unforgettable album launch that reminded me just how deeply rooted your love and loyalty is.”

While logistics may have faltered, the music—and the moment—triumphed. And for Jah Prayzah, the night was further proof that his star continues to rise.
