Erstwhile Finance Minister Tendai Biti has been dragged to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague in Netherlands by a Zimbabwean pressure group Rise Up Zimbabwe over a litany of charges.
The report’s confirmation submission identity number is D# a5225a65-71e5-477c-a04f-da0d2a267de6 and is dated 23 July 2025.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) investigates and, where warranted, tries individuals charged with the gravest crimes of concern to the international community such as crimes against humanity and the crime of aggression. The court also tries individuals over genocide and war crimes as a court of last resort.

“TENDAI LAXTON BITI ALLEGED ALLEGATIONS
Allegations are as following,
Political Murders
Murdered 28 White Commercial Farmers in Zimbabwe in 2000 (Names attached on files)
Murdered 8 Demonstrators on 1 August 2018 (Names attached on files)
Murdered thousands of people during 2008 General Elections
Rape of Underage girls and Women

Raped underage girls and women including his former Personal Assistant and infected all his victims with HIV and Aids. (Names

Human Trafficking
Tendai Laxton Biti through his law firm, facilitated human trafficking of young girls for sex and slave workers to Asian countries.

Abuse of Political Trust
Tendai Laxton Biti received donor funds from the western world and the international community disguised as an opposition
politician and converted these funds into personal use and also funding the violation of human rights and undermining democracy
in Zimbabwe.
Fraud
Tendai Laxton Biti has captured all state institutions including state funds. He was recruited and empowered by the late former
President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe whose real name is Matibili.

If Biti is indicted and tried at the ICC, he will join a list of significant cases.
Recent Cases:
Al Hassan Case: On November 20, 2024, Trial Chamber X sentenced Al Hassan to 10 years of imprisonment for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Mali between 2012 and 2013. Al Hassan was found guilty of some charges, including torture, rape, and forced marriages.
Ahmad Al Faqi Al Mahdi Case: In 2016, Al Mahdi admitted guilt for destroying historical and religious monuments in Timbuktu, Mali. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison for war crimes.
Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-Al-Rahman Case: The trial of Abd-Al-Rahman, also known as Ali Kushayb, is ongoing. He is accused of 31 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Darfur, Sudan.
Bosco Ntaganda Case: In 2019, Ntaganda was convicted of 18 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including murder, rape, and conscripting child soldiers. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Dominic Ongwen Case: Ongwen, a former Lord’s Resistance Army leader, was found guilty of 61 charges of serious crimes, including murder, enslavement, and forced marriage. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Ongoing Investigations- Darfur, Sudan: The ICC is investigating alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Darfur, including systematic rape and sexual violence.
Ukraine and Russia: The ICC is also investigating alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Ukraine, including those related to the conflict with Russia.
