Mutare — Air Zimbabwe has announced the continuation of its Harare–Mutare–Victoria Falls service, extending the route beyond the recently concluded Sanganai/Hlanganani/Kumbanai World Tourism Expo.
Originally launched to facilitate travel to the 15th edition of the Expo at Mutare Sports Club, the route quickly gained popularity, proving valuable well beyond the event.
Due to high demand, the national carrier will now operate the route daily.
“This route has received an overwhelmingly positive response across the board,” said Air Zimbabwe CEO Mr. Edmund Makona.
“It has evolved from an event-specific initiative to a permanent connection, providing critical air access to the Eastern Highlands.”
Route Details:
Route: Harare – Mutare (Grand Reef Aerodrome) – Victoria Falls
Frequency: Daily
Fares: From USD $85 (one-way), USD $170 (return)
This service extension reinforces Air Zimbabwe’s commitment to domestic tourism, national development, and regional connectivity.
“We are proud to serve as a bridge—linking communities, enabling trade, and showcasing Zimbabwe’s breathtaking destinations,” added Mr. Makona.
Travellers and tourism operators are encouraged to take advantage of this enhanced and reliable air service.
