Delta Beverages will for the first time this year move Road To Fame national finals from the traditional venue at Glamis Stadium to Takashinga Cricket Club in Highfield as they take Chibuku to the people.
At least 10 provincial groups will battle it out at the 2023 edition of Chibuku Road to Fame finals scheduled for 14 October 2023 in Highfield.
The national finals which start at 10am will be held under the theme, “Imba Tinzwe, Cula Sizwe Super Star!
Deze raWasu, the Manicaland-based group emerged first ahead of MACCA Sensational a folk music group also from Mutare District, in second position and Musanga, an afro-fusion outfit in third position.
Elsewhere in Matebeleland North, Kweseka beat the competition to represent the province at the national finals. Shantani came second while Walk of Life came third.
Organized by Delta Beverages in conjunction with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe wo identify and nurture artists, the longest running talent search show will see the national final winners getting $15,000 for the first prize, $10,000 for second prize and $7,000 for third prize respectively.
The music talent identification platform allows up-coming artists to step into stardom as they begin their musical journey.
As in previous editions, Chibuku Road to Fame brings together upcoming musicians and seasoned musicians on stage at the national finals.
Scores of chibuku and music lovers throng the national finals for a day out filled with lots of exciting entertainment and drinks.
