Ziyaduma Express will represent Matebeleland South in the 2023 edition of Chibuku Road to Fame finals scheduled for 14 October 2023 in Harare.
The national finals will be held under the theme, “Imba Tinzwe, Cula Sizwe Super Star!”.
Ziyaduma Express, a sungura outfit emerged first ahead of Vumbachikwe Sounds, a rhumba group in second and Zondamthakathi, a Maskandi in third position.
Organized by Delta Beverages in conjunction with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe wo identify and nurture artists, the longest running talent search show will see the national final winners getting $15,000 for the first prize, $10,000 for second prize and $7,000 for third prize respectively.
The music talent identification platform allows up-coming artists to step into stardom as they begin their musical journey.
DELTA CORPORATION, Marketing Director, Irimayi Muzorewa told the press earlier those contestants stand a chance to win a variety of monetary prizes at both provincial and national level, including a recording contract for the national final winner.
“We look forward to a thrilling journey, as the artists begin their Road to Fame. Chibuku Road to Fame “Imba Tinzwe, Cula Sizwe Super Star!”, Muzorewa said.
As in previous editions, Chibuku Road to Fame brings together upcoming musicians and seasoned musicians on stage at the national finals.
Scores of chibuku and music lovers throng the national finals for a day out filled with lots of exciting entertainment and drinks.
It appears 2023 is no exception and make a date at Chibuku Road to Fame!
