Organisers of Let Them Trust School Festival today said the fete will run from 27 to 29 July 2023 in Domboshava.
Themed: “Njabulo, Happiness, Kufara” three-day event will be filled with a lot of creativity, cheering and curiosity as the theme suggests.
Chido Musasiwa- Gutu , the founder and CEO of Let Them Trust said this year’s edition will celebrate artists who contributed to the arts sector in Zimbabwe the likes of Zim dancehall singer Soul Jah Love.
“Njabulo is a Ndebele name mainly given to boys at birth and it means happiness or joy. “It’s time to be happy and celebrate Let Them Trust will be celebrating 11 years of service and honoring who made an incredible mark to the arts industry the likes of Soul Musaka ‘aka’ Sauro or Soul Jah Love as he was popularly known,” Musasiwa said.
Musasiwa said artists were invited to be creative and come up with poems or songs in honour of Sauro.
“The Trust’s vision is to nurture the creativity in the young through arts and preserving our traditional values and culture.
“Don’t be left out be there and find the joy and happiness with young artists from schools around Zimbabwe,” she said.
The festival will also feature some renowned performing artists and media personalities like Ammara Brown and Jerome Galiao just to mention a few.
There will be musical performances, dance, hip-hop, theatre and Poetry.
As a noble gesture there is going to some trophies and hampers to be awarded to outstanding schools and individuals courtesy of Let Them Trust and Shumba Maheu.
