Harare – Zimbabwe’s leading advocates of sustainable living, environmental stewardship and responsible development will be celebrated at the Zimbabwe Life Sustenance Awards, set to take place on 20 March 2026 at Casino Marina, Longchen Plaza, Harare.
The awards, organised by Maconobo Media, seek to recognise individuals, organisations and initiatives that are making meaningful contributions towards sustainable development, environmental protection and responsible resource management in Zimbabwe.
At a time when climate change, environmental degradation and unsustainable consumption patterns are increasingly affecting communities and economies around the world, recognising those working to safeguard the future has become more important than ever.
The Zimbabwe Life Sustenance Awards aim to highlight practical solutions and inspire broader action by celebrating those who are demonstrating leadership in sustainability.
Across Zimbabwe, communities, entrepreneurs, institutions and development actors are adopting innovative approaches to protect the environment, promote responsible production and consumption, and support livelihoods that respect ecological balance.
By honouring such efforts, the awards seek to elevate positive examples and encourage others to adopt sustainable practices in their own sectors and communities.
Recognition plays a critical role in advancing sustainability. When individuals and organisations committed to environmental stewardship are celebrated, their work gains visibility, their ideas spread and their impact grows.
Platforms such as the Zimbabwe Life Sustenance Awards therefore help build momentum for sustainable development by acknowledging progress while motivating continued innovation and responsibility.
The awards ceremony will bring together leaders from business, civil society, government and the environmental sector for an evening dedicated to celebrating impact, innovation and commitment to a sustainable future.
Beyond recognition, the event will also serve as a platform for dialogue, networking and collaboration among stakeholders who share a commitment to building resilient communities and promoting sustainable development pathways in Zimbabwe.
As sustainability becomes an increasingly important pillar of economic growth and community wellbeing, the Zimbabwe Life Sustenance Awards aim to contribute to a national culture that values environmental responsibility, long-term thinking and collective stewardship of natural resources.
The ceremony will run from 6:00pm to 9:30pm, with guests expected to include sustainability advocates, business leaders, development practitioners and policymakers.
