ZimParks Sports Tournament Ends on a High Note

The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) wrapped up its Director General’s Sports Tournament with thrilling finals at Chinhoyi Caves over the weekend.

The multi-sport event featured soccer, netball, volleyball, chess, darts, snooker, tug of war, shooting, an obstacle course, and swimming. It brought together staff from across the country in a spirited display of athleticism and unity.

The soccer final saw Mid Zambezi Valley defeat South East Lowveld 3–1, securing their place as the top team of the tournament.

ZimParks Director General Edson Gandiwa praised the tournament’s success and sportsmanship, announcing it will now be held annually to strengthen staff bonds. “These games give us a chance to interact and build lasting connections,” he said.

Netball

Volleyball

Shooting

Obstacle Course

Female Swimming

The tournament concluded with a lively awards ceremony and roaring support from enthusiastic spectators. With its success and strong turnout, the event has set a high bar for future editions.
