In a significant move aimed at revolutionising the way products and services are marketed in Zimbabwe, entrepreneur Anesu Manjengwa has announced the launch of Zimitapp, a pioneering application designed to connect local businesses directly with consumers.
Zimitapp promises to be a game-changer for both vendors and customers in the region.
Zimitapp operates similarly to a digital directory, akin to the Yellow Pages, allowing businesses to list their services, products, prices, and contact details. By utilising GPS technology, the app will enable users to locate nearby providers while offering comparisons in pricing and customer ratings.
This innovative platform is expected to attract over 10,000 Zimbabwean companies by December, benefitting the local economy and making it easier for customers to access essential services.
Entrepreneur Anesu Manjengwa who is also responsible for the Sadza.com app which has benefitted Zimbabweans for many years said that the new Zimitapp is about empowerment.
“We are creating a direct line of communication between businesses and their customers, fostering an environment where local products and services can thrive. For the first three months, businesses can join for free, and we have made the pricing incredibly affordable to ensure that every entrepreneur, no matter their size, can participate in this digital marketplace,” said Manjengwa.
The app also includes features that cater to various sectors, from hospitality to retail, allowing for a wide range of businesses to be represented. As part of the launch strategy, Zimitapp plans to roll out promotional campaigns to spread awareness and drive downloads, ensuring customers understand the benefits of utilising this platform.
Manjengwa’s vision is clear: to transform the way Zimbabweans interact with businesses in their community.
