PTK brought to life the Zm dancehall craze when he dropped the popular Bodyslam Riddim some eight years ago.

The riddim popularly known as Bodyslam was named after the record stable to which PTK used to work for together with Simba Chakare, a record label owner.

The riddim which is still the most revered on the Zim dancehall scene featured as many talented voices as they are varied.

From the likes of Terminator, Ras Pompy, Killer T, Soul Jah Love, Shinsoman, Maggikal, Seh Calaz, Tocky Vibes, Yoz, Platinum Prince, Quonfused, Tally B, Maffcat, Tipsy, Empress Shelly, Ras Caleb and Young Spin among others.

A lot of musicians got fame after riding on the riddim and would get fans wild whenever they perform the tune.

To show how great the riddim was Soul Jah Love and Shinsoman had two songs apiece on the same riddim.

Soul Jah Love had Mwari Ndovatenda and Hapana Asingade Kusara while Shinsoman dropped Tasangana Zvidhakwa featuring Yoz and also Baba Devante.

According to Havoc, he announced via Facebook page that PTK a firm favourite among Zim dancehall artists was back!

“Ptk Music is back in Zimbabwe and he is already working on Bodyslam Riddim part 2.

“This time Killer T came in as an early bird on this version. The first Bodyslam Riddim was released about 8 years ago and The Chairman jumped on the riddim as late entry with a song ‘KuHIFA’ in 2014,” Havoc said.

It therefore, remains to be seen how PTK will fair this time on Bodyslam Part 2.

Whichever way the upcoming riddim is likely to revive the competitive nature of Zim dancehall music as what happened when the first riddim dropped.
