The Zimbabwe Election Support Network Board, Members and Secretariat offer our condolences to the Saratiel family, friends and colleagues in their time of mourning on the passing of Tobias Saratiel.
In a statement, ZESN board said: “We will greatly miss him. May his soul rest in peace.”
At the time of his death Tobias Saratiel was the ZESN Midlands Taskforce Vice Chairperson, Chairperson for Zimbabwe Association of Community Radio Stations (ZACRAS), and a member of the Youth Empowerment and Transformation Trust (YETT).
Tobias championed the cause and promotion of democratic elections in Zimbabwe through advocating for the inclusion of youth in key governance processes and positions as well freedom of the press.
Saratiel passed on early morning of Sunday the 17th of December 2023 in Gweru.
