A Zimbabwean national based in the United Kingdom, known by the alias “Uncle Brown,” has found himself in the midst of a public outcry, accused of utilizing his Facebook platform to propagate defamatory content and subsequently demanding bribes from the affected individuals to remove the posts.
Operating under the banner “COS Scammers and Fraudsters,” Uncle Brown has attracted scrutiny from the public and authorities alike for his alleged extortion tactics.
Sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity, have disclosed that Uncle Brown’s modus operandi involves exposing private information, financial matters, and family details of individuals, whom he then allegedly targets for extortion.
“He has managed to fleece a number of business people from Zimbabwe, UK, Botswana, South Africa, Nigeria, Malawi with the list endless.
“His modus operandi includes posting pictures of some of his targets branding them scammers and running live videos on Facebook to which he demands money from the victims in order to pull down the defamatory post,” revealed a victim of the extortion.
