Tuesday sees reigning European kings Real Madrid head to London for a clash with Arsenal at the
Emirates Stadium.
Los Blancos came through a dramatic Last 16 tie against cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid, ultimately winning on penalties, while the Gunners had a much easier time in their 9-3 aggregate win over PSV Eindhoven.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes it is crucial that his team makes the most of home
advantage in this first leg: “The first thing is that you have to be at your best when it comes to that

Wednesday features a reunion between Aston Villa manager Unai Emery and one of his former clubs, as the Lions head to the French capital for a clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
“For our club, it is very important to be in the Champions League quarterfinals. To play against
Paris Saint-Germain is something we have to be proud of,” said Emery, who was in charge of PSG
from 2016 to 2018 and won seven trophies in that time.
“We are at this level. We have to be proud, but we want more. We want to compete against the
best teams in the world. Now our priority is to try to be close to the level we are facing.”
Wednesday will also bring a potential ‘banger’ between Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund at the
Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium. BVB manager Nico Kovac is looking forward to pitting his wits
against counterpart Hansi Flick.
“I spoke to Hansi Flick for his birthday and we joked about the possibility of facing each other in the
Champions League,” said Kovac.
“We are very excited about this match and we must take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves to us. Barcelona will be a much tougher opponent than Lille, but we have enough quality players to beat Barcelona.”
