Shanyai Bookings donates to youth football team

Shanyai Bookings, a United Kingdom-based travel and Tourism Company this week made donation to Marondera Youth Football team and Murehwa women.

The donation which came as a surprise to the Marondera youth football team was met with jubilation as Zimbabwean football legend Kennedy Chihuri graced the occasion.

“Today in Marondera, Shanyai Bookings (shanyai.com), made a surprise donation to a Marondera Youth football team. The joy and happiness was there for all to witness with Trevor Mazhande of Harvesters In Sport UK charity and Zim Legend Kennedy Chihuri.” Farai Mutswunguma, Shanyai Bookings, Director of Operations said.

The youngsters were blessed to be visited by such football greats, who committed to continue supporting local football and urged youth’s to shun drugs.

Former football legend Kenny Chihuri said that, “I still continue to support youngsters in Mufakose and ever ready to develop sport nationwide. All Zimbabweans should never forget their roots, and must do their best to support grassroot sports and keep our youngsters away from the drug problem.”

On 31 March, the bookings company took their benevolent action to Murehwa in proffering the Hakata Village women sustainable renewable sanitary wear.

“Shanyai Bookings presented 100 re-usable sanitary pads to ladies from Hakata village, Murehwa.  This is the birthplace of the Shanyai Bookings ancestry.” Mutswunguma also said.

Shanyai Bookings Director of Operations emphasised their continued commitment to bettering communities social and economic conditions.

“Shanyai Bookings team strongly believe in our social responsibility to our communities where our journeys started. Our commitment to our people remains a high priority and we aim to continue such efforts forever.” Farai Mutswunguma emphasised from Dallas.

The football donations were presented by Shanyai courtesy of their clients, Blair family, while Mr Gurjinder Kahlon, a friend to the UK -Zim football development enthusiast and business, Mutsvunguma.

“The football donation was presented by our clients, Blair family, from UK who are visiting Zimbabwe, to create memories and enjoy the birthplace of their Granma Maud. In the section of pads, please mention Huge thank you to Mr Gurjinder Kahlon, a froend of Shanyai Bookings who continues to support with funding these initiatives for the benefit of our Zimbabwean ladies.” The booking’s company’s Director of Operations said.

Sport and sanitary wear remain key enablers to meeting the sustainable development goals as they not only cut across the sustainable development goals but remain key enablers of the 1st Sustainable Development Goal, Eradicating Poverty.
